Suzanne Ciani and VAVA have teamed up to develop a capsule collection of eyewear, inspired by Suzanne’s passion for the Buchla and quadraphonic soundscape exploration.

The collaboration with the musician, pioneer of the 70’s eletronic genre, is born to highlight the link between cultured electronic music and design.

Born in Indiana, United States, with roots from Italy, Suzanne Ciani is a five-time grammy award-nominated composer, a neo-classical recording artist, and an electronic music pioneer who found early success in the ‘70s by creating various special electronic effects on the Buchla, a modular synthesiser, like platinum-selling Meco’s Star Wars, sounds for the Xenon Pinball machine, becoming the first human female voice in a game. Suzanne also provided voice and sounds for Coca-Cola’s pop-and-pour sound and a lot of more famous sounds that we hear in day-to-day life. Giving her the title: “Diva of the Diode”.

Having released over 20 solo albums, Suzanne Chani has had a creative career full of movement and respect for sound, making her one of the most creatively successful female composers in the world and receiving the indipendent Icon Adward from A2IM and is the first woman to receive the Moog innovation Adward, that recognizes artists who have contributed to the exploration of sound in popular music and beyond.

Rilsan® Invent by Arkema is a natural polyamide 11 fine powder made from a 100% renewable source (castor beans). The castor beans used to produce oil forfor our bio-based plastic are sourced from a cooperative of certified farmers in the Gujarat region of India.

3D printed technology allows the adoption and design of complex eyewear frames. The design freedom offered by this technology allow for advanced functional and stylistic features, while using the minimum amount of material required to ensure sustainability. High-tech materials are at the core of new conscious design, as environmental responsability is paramount in our 21st ce ntury world.
