How do we understand the correct size of our glasses?
If you already own sunglasses or eyeglasses, you can use the measurements printed inside the temple to determine the correct size for your next pair. This is a simple and effective way to avoid mismatching your frame size. The first number you read is the size, the second is the bridge measurement, and the last is the temple measurement.
If you don't have glasses or the measurements on the lenses are faded or difficult to see, arm yourself with a credit card—we all have one at home.
To determine if your face size is “Small,” “Medium,” or “Large,” use a credit card and place it vertically in the center of your nose, at the bridge.
SMALL : If the paper reaches beyond the edge of your eye/The frames suitable for your face are those ranging from size 42 to 45
MEDIUM : If the paper coincides with the edge of your outer eyeThe frames suitable for your face are those ranging from size 46 to 49
LARGE : If the paper exceeds the edge of your outer eye/The frames suitable for your face are those ranging from 50mm in size and above
