The design

Structure becomes design

Digital design and 3D printing allow Andrivet to build branching rims, curves and openings into a single frame. The collection uses polyamide and titanium, sometimes within the same model.

The front shows the lens shape; a side view reveals the interwoven temples and connections. In the photographs of The Duke and The Flow, these transitions are particularly evident: the volume continues beyond the lens rim and changes along the profile.

This makes the frames worth observing from several perspectives. Some details define them immediately; others only appear as the frame turns, when a curve reveals an opening or a previously hidden connection.

The Duke

A branching polyamide structure wraps around the rounded lenses. The open framework rises above the front and continues towards the temples, its outline emphasised by the black finish. The three-quarter view follows the transition from front to temples: the network continues along the profile, with openings that let light through.

The Flow

The upper rim curves into a wave and widens towards the temples. Blue polyamide and orange lenses make this shape even more distinctive. From the side, the rim reveals its changing thickness. The continuous surface allows the curve to be followed from the bridge to the outer edges.

Chrysope

Titanium · Orange lenses

Large angular lenses, a double bridge and a fine structure in 3D-printed titanium. Openings at the outer edges bring the geometry of the orange lenses into focus. The metal is most apparent at the connections. Compared with The Duke, the front feels more open and gives the lenses greater prominence.

Polyamide and titanium meet in a frame with a transparent front. Dark lenses extend towards the temples, leaving the side connections and fine structure visible. The contrast between transparency and dark lenses changes with the angle: the lens shape dominates from the front, while the connections emerge from the side.

Materials and construction

Polyamide and titanium, two ways to build

In the ANDRIVET selection, material contributes to the shape of each frame. Comparing the four models shows how the relationship between structure, lenses and colour changes.

Polyamide: networks and surfaces

The Duke and The Flow both use polyamide, with very different results. In the first, a network of branching elements surrounds the lenses; in the second, the rim is more continuous, curving into an undulating line.

Colour also changes the perception of volume. The Duke’s black finish reveals the interwoven structure through light and shadow. In the blue version of The Flow, the pairing with orange lenses makes the front immediately recognisable.

Titanium: lines and openings

Chrysope uses titanium for a fine structure that leaves plenty of space around the lenses. The double bridge and outer connections are the places to follow its construction, leaving broad openings around the lenses.

Chimera combines polyamide and titanium. Transparency makes the frame’s elements visible even where they overlap, while the dark lenses emphasise their outline. It is the model in which the meeting of materials is most apparent.

The designer

Emmanuel Andrivet’s experience

Emmanuel Andrivet has worked with 3D for over thirty years, collaborating with Cartier and Yohji Yamamoto Eyewear. He presented his namesake brand at MIDO 2026, bringing a long experience of design to the collection.

Nature, Art Nouveau and Gaudí’s architecture are among his references. Looking at these four models, the connection can be seen in The Duke’s branching structure, The Flow’s curves and the junctions between the frames’ different parts.

The result is a varied collection in which each model develops a clear idea. Placing them side by side makes it easier to see: an open network, a wave of colour, a fine metal structure, a transparent front. Four frames with distinct identities, worth observing beyond the first impression.
