Independent eyewear: the value of a point of view
An AHLEM gold rim, Kuboraum Rainforest, the red of VAVA × Ciani. Three encounters to help you find glasses you will want to wear again tomorrow.

A pair of glasses can stay with you before you have even tried it on. You remember a deep green, a gold rim, a red you had never considered wearing. That curiosity is a good place to start exploring independent eyewear. Here, we follow it through AHLEM, Kuboraum and VAVA.
It starts with a deliberate choice
In independent eyewear, creative autonomy makes room for personal ideas. To see whether they speak to you, look closely at the object: what has its designer chosen to place right there, in front of your eyes?
Optical glasses will join you in conversations, at work and in photographs. There is plenty of time to grow attached to a detail. Choose one you will enjoy discovering again.
AHLEM: that gold rim
On Paris 04 Ruthenium / Champagne, a gold circle follows the grey metal. Up close, you discover the double construction; on the face, the contrast around the eyes draws attention.
AHLEM makes it by hand in France. Picture it with a dark sweater or a pale shirt: the outfit changes, that fine Champagne line remains. Explore it further in the Paris Collection story.
Kuboraum: the pleasure of being seen
Kuboraum calls its glasses masks: shapes designed to give the wearer’s personality room. The Rainforest frame in the photographs carries that idea into green acetate and a front with a strong presence.
Picture this pair with your simplest T-shirt. The frame enters the conversation with you. If that appeals, explore the Kuboraum selection.

VAVA: music leaves the studio
For its collaboration with Suzanne Ciani, VAVA looked to the Buchla, the modular synthesizer central to part of the musician’s work. The colours of cables and connections entered the glasses’ design.
The CL0018 Red brings that red to an angular optical frame. If you love electronic music, the story adds a personal connection. If the colour caught your attention, you already have a good reason to look closer.
Why they meet at OCCHIO
A metal AHLEM, an acetate Kuboraum and a 3D-printed VAVA can appeal to the same person for different reasons. Seeing them together makes choosing more interesting: you might recognise yourself in a subtle rim or a confident red front.
The OCCHIO brand selection lets you follow these differences, moving from the design idea to a frame you could actually wear.
The one your eyes returned to
Think back to the three frames. Is there one you want to see on your face? Open its page, explore the other angles and compare its measurements with glasses that fit you well.
A personal purchase often begins like this: a detail stops you, you discover who thought of it, and you start imagining it in your day. Choosing becomes much more enjoyable from there.
