MATERIAL / CRAFT / LEISURE SOCIETY
Eyewear to choose like a piece of jewellery. And wear every day.
Leisure Society brings gold and the care of fine jewellery to an object that becomes part of your face. Shane Baum designs it in California; Japanese artisans give it form. The details reward a closer look. Wearing it reveals even more.

IN FOCUS · SULCOVA
A cat-eye that holds the spotlight.
In the Leisure Society campaign, Sulcova accompanies a black dress. The front rises towards the temples; gold frames the eyes. The rest can stay simple.
Shane Baum found its inspiration during a visit to a champagne house. That encounter became a frame sculpted from titanium, with defined angles, bevelled surfaces and generous proportions. Yellow 24K gold across the top and 12K white gold along the lower rim bring out its geometry.
The frame shown on the model is the optical version in our selection. With a dark dress, it becomes the focal point; with a white shirt, it brings the same character to everyday life. A frame to try if you enjoy assertive shapes that keep the eyes in view.
Titanium, sculpted from a solid block.
These shapes begin with a block of pure titanium. CNC machining can take more than six hours, before assembly and hand finishing even begin. Working from solid material allows for deep bevels and sharply defined forms while keeping weight down. A frame can have a strong presence and still feel light.
After polishing come the finishes: 12K white gold, 18K or 24K gold, or ruthenium. PVD deposits a thin, closely bonded coating on the titanium, resistant to corrosion and everyday wear. Colour makes a difference, too: white gold gives the design a more restrained look; yellow gold brings out its jewellery-like character.
THE OCCHIO SELECTION
Another way to make an impression.
Aubrey’s open front, Avalon II’s classic proportions, Komenda’s rectangular shape, Sacco’s pale blue tint. Four alternatives to find the Leisure Society you want to wear.

Aubrey
Optical · 24K Gold
An open, rimless front puts the focus on the eyes; the engraved bridge and temples supply the detail. In 24K gold, Aubrey brings a touch of jewellery to optical eyewear, without a pronounced rim around the lenses.

Avalon II
Optical · 18K Gold
Squared lenses and an upper rim give the front a more defined shape. An engraved bridge and touches of enamel enrich a classic design that works beautifully with pared-back clothes.
Discover Avalon II
Komenda
Sunglasses · 12K White Gold
Named in tribute to Erwin Komenda and twentieth-century automotive design. The rectangular front, bolted temples and finely engraved upper detailing echo that precision. Here, 12K white gold meets blue polarised Trivex lenses that help reduce glare. For those drawn to clean, assertive shapes.

Sacco
24K Gold / 12K White Gold · Blue Tint Photochromic
A tribute to Italian designer Bruno Sacco. Rounded lenses and a shaped bridge give it a classic character; yellow and white gold, paired with a pale blue tint, make it feel more relaxed. The photochromic lenses darken in sunlight. A place to start if you like colour and softer proportions.
Discover SaccoLeisure Society’s little key.
Every frame is individually numbered. The little key engraved on the metal recalls what Shane Baum holds precious: time spent with the people we love. This is the starting point for California Heirloom Design, creating objects to keep and pass on. Their first life, though, is an everyday one: wearing them, caring for them, making them your own.
