Tortoiseshell Glasses

In tortoiseshell glasses the colour is part of the design: the havana pattern alternates light and dark areas and shifts with the thickness of the front. Today it comes from sheets of coloured acetate, which are then milled and polished. Shades range from honey blonde to browns that are almost black.

Here you'll find tortoiseshell frames for prescription and sun together. For a single category, open tortoiseshell eyeglasses or tortoiseshell sunglasses; for the material, see acetate glasses. From the Journal: Tortoiseshell glasses: the havana pattern and how to choose it.
