Profiles A, B and C personalise a single vision lens; they do not turn it into a progressive lens. We assess them with your prescription and everyday habits.
Two choices that can work together.
Single vision or progressive: either design can also be photochromic. The design corrects your vision; Sensity changes tint with the light. We check the combination against your prescription.

Outdoors, Sensity lenses darken in sunlight; indoors, they become clearer again. Choosing a version starts with how you move between environments, activities and lighting conditions.

For those moving between indoor and outdoor settings who want a versatile photochromic option. SEIKO Sensity 2 combines light adaptation with UV protection.

For more intense light.

Can I choose Sensity with progressive or single vision lenses?
Yes. At OCCHIO, we consider Sensity with Brilliance progressive lenses and I Xceed single vision lenses. If you like blue, we start with Sensity 2 and check the combination available for your lens design, material and prescription.

A book on the terrace, lunch outdoors, a walk through town. Sunglasses can be made with your prescription too. At OCCHIO in Crema, we choose SEIKO sun lenses and frames around the way you will wear them.

A solid tint, a gradient, a mirror finish: each changes the effect on your face and the relationship with your frame. SEIKO tints let us explore these possibilities.

When reflected glare gets in the way.
Polarisation helps reduce light reflected from surfaces such as water and roads. It is an option to consider for your SEIKO sunglasses if these situations are part of your day.
Fixed-tint sunglasses or photochromic lenses?
A fixed tint retains its shade; Sensity changes intensity with the light. If you want glasses dedicated to outdoor use, we can consider a sun lens solution. If you often move indoors and out, let’s compare it with photochromic lenses. Your choice depends on how you will use your glasses.
04 · VISION AND AESTHETICS
Thin lenses. Distinctive frames.
With a frame from AHLEM, Kuboraum, VAVA or Lesca, the lens is part of the finished look. Front shape and size, centration, prescription and lens geometry need to work together.
SEIKO’s 1.74 index is one option for managing lens thickness and is also available with I Xceed. The number alone does not determine the right lens: we assess the result in your chosen frame.

Light on your lenses can obscure your eyes and create distracting reflections. An anti-reflective coating reduces reflections on the surface: a detail that matters both when you look through your lenses and when someone looks at you.

SEIKO designs SRC-Sun for tinted lenses and also recommends it with Sensity. The coating works on reflections and contrast, complementing your sun or photochromic lenses. In the boutique, we check its compatibility with your chosen solution.

They address different effects: an anti-reflective coating reduces reflections on the lens surfaces; polarisation filters some of the light reflected from your surroundings, such as water. Both can be considered for the same glasses, depending on the combinations available.

Do I need to know which SEIKO lenses to choose?
You can come in with an idea that is still taking shape. Tell us about your day and what you would like to improve in your glasses. We help you compare suitable progressive or single vision options, alongside your frame and quotation.
Do I need to bring a prescription?
If you have one, bring it along with your current glasses. If you need a vision assessment, contact us to arrange the appropriate appointment. Your prescription defines the correction; centration and the position of your frame require additional measurements.
I struggled with progressives before. Can we start with that experience?
Bring the glasses you wore and tell us which situations were difficult. We examine your prescription, centration, frame fit and viewing distances before considering another solution. Your experience helps us understand what to look for in your next lenses.
How long does it take to get used to progressive lenses?
The experience varies from person to person. At collection, we explain how to use the different lens zones and check the frame adjustment. If you have difficulties, contact us so we can check your glasses and discuss the situations in which you use them.
How much do glasses with SEIKO progressive lenses cost?
Your quote considers the frame, prescription, lens design, material and coatings, plus any photochromic option. We explain the differences between suitable solutions and what each proposal includes before you place the order.
I spend hours at a computer. What should I consider?
Tell us how far away your screen, keyboard and documents are, and how you move between work and other activities. This helps us assess the lens design and whether a separate pair for these tasks could be useful.
Is a 1.74 lens always the best choice?
It depends on your prescription and frame. To assess thickness, we also consider shape, size and centration: the index is one part of the design.
Are photochromic and polarised lenses the same?
They serve different purposes. Photochromic lenses change tint with the light; polarisation filters part of the light reflected by surfaces such as water and roads. A photochromic lens is not automatically polarised.
Can I order prescription lenses with a frame online?
Contact us before buying. We check your prescription, frame compatibility and the measurements needed, then explain the next steps and provide a quote.
