A red mark crosses dark acetate. Volumes bend, surfaces shift in rhythm. With Ocean Cage, ASIANDOPEBOYS and KUBORAUM bring a fragment of their performance world to the face.
A project that crosses art forms.
At its centre is Tianzhuo Chen, the artist behind ASIANDOPEBOYS. His Ocean Cage project combines set design, choreography and live music. Moyang & Seaman developed from this work with Siko Setyanto, bringing references to Noh theatre into conversation with Nusantara traditions.
In Venice in May 2026, Moyang & Seaman featured in We Travel To Know Our Own Geography, curated by Kuboraum. This meeting of movement, sound and transformation also provides the context for the eyewear capsule.
Colour takes its own path.
The six Masks have different proportions, yet share a surface treatment that changes the way a frame is read. Colour crosses the front, travels along the temples, traces an edge and then breaks away from it. Looking closely means following these transitions.
Worked and enamelled by hand, the frames retain small variations in their decoration. On X6, red traces a flame; on R3, swirls run across the surfaces. Y3 alternates white, black and red on a sharply cut front. Each shape develops a tension of its own.

Ocean Cage is also the title of the album released by Kuboraum Editions and SVBKVLT. KADAPAT and Nova Ruth, with Siko Setyanto, translate the performance into a dialogue between electronics, gamelan and voice. Listening adds another dimension to the collection.
