1. What «1 of 199» means
T HENRI makes every colour of every model in a single numbered series: 199 pieces at most, handmade in Japan. Each frame carries its own serial number and, once the series is sold out, that colour is never made again. It is the logic of collector’s cars, which give the models their names: Pantera, Diablo, Tuatara, Mulliner.
Some series are much shorter. Our selection includes the Corniche Port in 35 pieces, the Tuatara Port in 55, the Tuatara Shamrock in 65 and the Moonbeam, designed with haute couture designer Tamara Ralph, in 125.
2. What a T HENRI costs in Europe
At OCCHIO! prices are in euros, VAT included: the Somnia Lucid costs €845, the Diablo Traverse €1,145 and the Scud Anomoly €1,526. On the official site, thenri.com, they are in dollars and orders ship from the United States: if you live in the European Union, your country’s VAT and import duty are added on arrival, payable by the recipient. Four models compared, using Italian VAT as the example:
| Model | thenri.com | In euros | With 22% VAT | At OCCHIO! |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Somnia | $825 | €735 | €897 | €845 |
| Roadrunner | $1,050 | €935 | €1,141 | €1,070 |
| Pantera | $1,125 | €1,002 | €1,223 | €1,150 |
| Mulliner L | $1,200 | €1,069 | €1,304 | €1,170 |
ECB exchange rate of 2 October 2026: €1 = $1.1225. thenri.com prices as of 3 October 2026, excluding duty and shipping. OCCHIO! prices include VAT, for the frame in the link. VAT varies by country.
With a European shop the bill is settled at checkout: a price in euros with VAT, no customs on delivery inside the European Union, 14 days to return. thenri.com’s policy, by contrast, offers no returns or exchanges on international orders.
3. Which model suits your face
Sizes tell you more than photos. The lens width is the width of one lens: up to 50 mm a frame stays compact, from 54 mm upwards it becomes wide and dramatic. The bridge decides how it sits on the nose: wide for a prominent nose, narrow for a slim one.
| Model | Lens | Bridge | Temple | In short |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cobra | 48 | 22 | 146 | Compact, 12 mm thick front |
| Tuatara | 48 | 26 | 145 | The widest bridge, for prominent noses |
| Elva | 49 | 22 | 145 | Light, exposed titanium |
| Speedtail | 50 | 21 | 146 | Adjustable nose pads |
| Sian | 52 | 19 | 146 | Medium size, clean lines |
| Pantera | 54 | 20 | 150 | Wide, 10 mm front |
| Mulliner L | 55 | 19 | 148 | Wide, slim 8 mm front |
| Diablo | 56 | 18 | 153 | The longest temples in the selection |
| Somnia | 57 | 16 | 148 | The widest, narrow bridge |

4. Sun, optical, or both
Almost every T HENRI starts life as a sunglass, and the frames take prescription lenses, tinted ones included. Several models are also available as optical frames with the same construction: Diablo, Somnia, Pantera, Speedtail, Tuatara, Gemera, V2 and more. We fit the lenses at our boutique in Crema. With a strong or progressive prescription, write to us before ordering and we will check lens width and curvature together. How prescription sunglasses work is explained in our dedicated guide.
