The T HENRI Tuatara takes its name from the SSC Tuatara, the American hypercar built to pass 300 mph: flat, sharp lines and a thick front. It comes as sunglasses and as an optical frame (RX versions), handmade in Japan in numbered series per colour. Here you find the colours in stock, with photographs, series number and sizes on each product page.
Construction, sizes and guides
How the Tuatara is made
Block Japanese cellulose acetate, 10 mm front carved by hand; temple decorations and cores in 18K gold-plated titanium; octagonal rivets and 7-barrel hinge. On the sun versions, gradient Zeiss CR39 lenses with inner anti-reflective coating. Every piece carries its serial number: 199 pieces per colour, 65 for Shamrock, 55 for Port.
Sizes
Lens width 48 mm, bridge 26 mm: a compact size for such a thick front. To compare with your current glasses, read the guide to measurements; what "1 of 199" means is in the T HENRI buying guide.
