OCCHIO! is an independent eyewear boutique in Crema, Italy, forty minutes from Milan. We select glasses and sunglasses from around forty independent designers, most of them made by hand in small runs, and we ship them from the boutique to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and the rest of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland by tracked express courier. This page explains what we carry, how an order to the Nordic countries works, and what to expect at the door.

The brands most requested from the Nordics

Kuboraum: the Berlin-designed, Italian-made Masks, more than two hundred models across the K, P, H and Z series. Akoni: Swiss design, handmade in Japan in titanium, Japanese acetate and buffalo horn. AHLEM: Paris street names on frames made in Oyonnax, France. Lesca Lunetier: French acetate since 1964, Pica, Posh and Corbs. EYEVAN 7285, Masunaga and KameManNen: Japanese titanium from Sabae and Fukui, light and understated. T HENRI: numbered micro-productions of 199 pieces. Every model is in stock in Crema; what you see online is what we have on the shelf.

How an order to Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland works

  • Prices and checkout in euro. You pay in EUR with the usual cards, PayPal or Apple Pay; your bank converts to SEK, DKK or NOK at its rate.
  • Shipping: 15 €, free on orders over 150 €. Every parcel travels by tracked express courier, with the tracking number sent as soon as it leaves Crema.
  • Preparation: 3 to 5 working days. Each frame is checked, adjusted and packed in the boutique before dispatch. Transit to the Nordics is usually 2 to 4 working days more.
  • Sweden, Denmark and Finland: no customs duties. You are inside the EU, so the price you see is the price you pay, with nothing to settle at the door.
  • Norway: VAT and any duty are settled on delivery. Norway is outside the EU customs union, so the courier contacts you for Norwegian VAT and any charges before handing over the parcel. We do not add them to the price and we do not pre-collect them.
  • Returns. If a frame is not right, you can return it; return shipping is at your cost and the refund is issued when the parcel reaches the boutique in Crema.

Lenses

Optical frames ship with demonstration lenses, so your optician at home can fit your prescription. Sunglasses ship with their original lenses. Progressive lenses need measurements taken with the frame on your face, so we fit those only in the boutique.

Why buy from a boutique in Italy

Because the pieces are not on the shelves of the big chains. Independent designers produce in small series, and once a colour sells out it often does not come back. Our selection is chosen one model at a time, and every frame is adjusted by hand before it leaves. Frequently asked questions

Do you ship to the whole of Scandinavia?

Yes: Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, including the islands, by tracked express courier. We also ship to Iceland.

Will I pay customs in Sweden, Denmark or Finland?

No. Shipments within the EU carry no customs duties. Only Norway and Iceland, outside the EU customs union, are charged on delivery.

Can I see a frame before ordering?

Yes. Write to us with the model name and we send photos of the frame worn and its measurements. The boutique is in Crema, Via XX Settembre 15, forty minutes from Milan, if you are passing through Italy.
