In clear glasses, also called crystal or transparent frames, the frame lets the light through and reveals what usually stays hidden: the metal core of the temples, the screws, the real thickness of the front. A colourless frame doesn't disappear on your face; it frames it without the dark line of a solid rim.

Clear glasses: frequently asked questions

Can I get them with prescription lenses?

Yes, like any optical frame. On a clear frame the edge thickness of the lens stays visible: with strong prescriptions it's worth choosing thinned lenses.

Does crystal always mean colourless?

No: many crystal frames have a light tint, grey, pink or champagne. Compare the photos of each model.
