Methodology
- Period: 1 January to 22 October 2026.
- Source: orders from the OCCHIO! online store (otticaocchiocrema.it) recorded on Shopify.
- Scope: pieces sold at full price only. Pieces sold on sale or at a reduced price, and pieces bought with discounts above the 10% reserved for new newsletter subscribers, are excluded. Manually created orders, cancelled orders, refunded pieces and accessories are also excluded.
- Unit: pieces sold, meaning individual frames. Every figure is a percentage share; the Index does not report revenue, order counts or prices.
- Classification: brand, shape, material and colour come from each product's listing. Gold plating is not counted as a material; for two-tone frames the main colour is used. Eyevan includes the Eyevan and Eyevan 7285 lines.
- Country: shipping country.
- Minimum threshold: no conclusion is drawn from groups smaller than 20 pieces. Comparisons therefore cover only the total, Italy and abroad, optical and sun; for individual foreign countries the Index reports shares only.
- Rounding: percentages are rounded to one decimal; totals may differ from 100 by a few tenths.
