About this frame
The kmn 775M | TSH/LG model with clear lenses is handmade in Japan by expert craftsmen. It is made of titanium and is suitable for prescription lenses. The frame comes with a case and a lens cleaning cloth.
KAMEMANNEN’s history began in Fukui in 1917 with the Kimura Seisakusho plating workshop. After the Second World War, the business moved to Sabae and developed into an eyewear manufacturer, contributing to the city’s manufacturing tradition.
Founder Kikujiro Kimura chose a name inspired by a Japanese proverb about longevity: a crane lives for a thousand years and a turtle for ten thousand. It expresses his intention to make objects that people would keep and wear over time.
In 1981, KAMEMANNEN introduced titanium into its eyewear production. Metalworking remains central to the brand, alongside the precision with which its frames are designed and finished.
