About this frame

Cobra is a T HENRI sunglass inspired by American racing muscle cars: compact proportions, sculpted volumes, a keyhole bridge. The Petra colourway has a dark tortoiseshell acetate frame, 18K gold-plated details and lenses graduating from orange to green. Handmade in Japan, in a numbered series of 199 pieces per colour.

Materials and construction

  • Sculpted acetate front, with two-tone metal ornaments and enamel matched to the frame colour.
  • Modular 7-barrel Japanese hinge, with custom plates and three octagonal rivets.
  • 7 mm acetate temples with a laminated core in the T HENRI pattern and ridged titanium tips with the engraved emblem.
  • Ornaments and cores in 18K gold-plated titanium.
  • Zeiss CR39 gradient lenses, with interior anti-reflective coating and scratch-resistant treatment.
  • Anti-slip grip and a serial number on every piece.

Size

  • Lens width: 48 mm.
  • Bridge: 22 mm.
  • Temples: 146 mm.

Explore more T HENRI eyewear or read the brand's story in the Journal: Hypercars, in a pair of glasses.

T HENRI grew from Tyler Henri’s interest in meticulously made objects. Hypercars, yachts and aviation provided his starting points, with the intention of bringing a similar attention to construction, proportion and detail into eyewear.

After wearing and studying frames by independent brands, Tyler travelled to Sabae, Japan, to explore small-scale eyewear manufacturing. There he began a three-year development process, overseeing the creative direction and production of his first collection: the Monaco series.

Small production runs became central to T HENRI’s identity. Each model and colour has a defined edition size, giving a sense of the scale of its production and the work dedicated to the design. The connection with automotive design remains in the references, while each frame takes shape through materials and processes selected for that particular creation.

A frame is best understood when you try it on.

In the boutique, we look at proportions, how the frame rests on your nose and the length of the temples. Trying it on helps you see how it suits your face and lets us adjust it with care.

As a SEIKO Vision Specialist, we start with your prescription and daily habits to discuss lenses, centration and fitting. We explain the options and prepare a personalised quote before proceeding.
