Julius Tart Optical continues the models of Tart Optical Enterprises, founded in New York in 1948 by optician Julius Tart. The project is led by Richard Tart, the founder's nephew, together with Tommy O'Gara's The Light Co.; the frames are now made in Japan in cellulose acetate.
