About this frame
Crafted Cosmo · Horn Series
Water buffalo horn. Around thirty hours of handcrafting. A natural pattern that varies from frame to frame.
Crafted Cosmo interprets AKONI’s Wellington shape in black horn with white streaks. Its front has a pronounced upper line and bold volumes; the grain runs across the bridge and along the temples, creating contrasts that reward a closer look.
The material and the making
AKONI describes around thirty hours of hand carving, sculpting and finishing for each frame. The workshop photographs reveal the stages that turn the material into a finished shape: the rough front, the definition of the edges and the work on its surfaces.
Horn retains its own shades and grain. The photographs show the catalogue version; the natural pattern may vary on the available frame.
Proportions and fit
