About this frame

The PICA 59 model with presentation lenses is handmade in FRANCE by expert craftsmen. The glasses are made of CELLULOSE ACETATE and are suitable for prescription lenses. The frame comes with a case and lens cleaning cloth.
An iconic model from our 1920s archives. This frame is one of the oldest eyewear styles, even before the word "designer" existed.

In 1964, Joël LESCA created his first collection in a small workshop in the Secrétan district of the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Inspired by the techniques of the past, LESCA glasses are riveted and shaped according to strict specifications.

In 1964, Joël Lesca introduced his first collection, created in a small workshop in the Secrétan neighbourhood of Paris’s nineteenth arrondissement. That workshop marked the beginning of a family history connected with the shapes and techniques of traditional eyewear making.

Over the years, Joël worked with artisans in France and other European countries. Shaping the frames and using rivets remained central to a production process guided by the skills and pace of the craft.

His sons Mathieu and Bertrand continue this work by returning to earlier collections. The LESCA archive provides a starting point for bringing historic shapes back into production and developing new interpretations while preserving the character of the original brand.

A frame is best understood when you try it on.

In the boutique, we look at proportions, how the frame rests on your nose and the length of the temples. Trying it on helps you see how it suits your face and lets us adjust it with care.

As a SEIKO Vision Specialist, we start with your prescription and daily habits to discuss lenses, centration and fitting. We explain the options and prepare a personalised quote before proceeding.
