About this frame
The Birdcage model by T HENRI is inspired by the legendary Tipo 61 Birdcage, a racing car built in Italy and a symbol of the Sports Racer Series. Its revolutionary fully tubular space frame chassis ensured an exceptional balance between structural rigidity and absolute lightness—an engineering philosophy translated here into eyewear form.
Eyewear conceived like a racing car: essential, functional, without superfluous concessions. A project for contemporary privateers, for those who build, advance, and never look back.
T HENRI is an ultra-luxury eyewear brand with micro-production, inspired by the world's rarest and most precious goods. Each model is crafted in a single collectible batch, destined never to be replicated.
Once they are gone, it is forever.
T HENRI grew from Tyler Henri’s interest in meticulously made objects. Hypercars, yachts and aviation provided his starting points, with the intention of bringing a similar attention to construction, proportion and detail into eyewear.
After wearing and studying frames by independent brands, Tyler travelled to Sabae, Japan, to explore small-scale eyewear manufacturing. There he began a three-year development process, overseeing the creative direction and production of his first collection: the Monaco series.
Small production runs became central to T HENRI’s identity. Each model and colour has a defined edition size, giving a sense of the scale of its production and the work dedicated to the design. The connection with automotive design remains in the references, while each frame takes shape through materials and processes selected for that particular creation.
