About this frame
The TUATARA model is handmade in Japan by expert craftspeople. The frame is made of acetate and can be fitted with prescription lenses. It comes with a case and a lens cleaning cloth.

Inspired by the SSC Tuatara, the American hypercar engineered to break the 300 mph barrier: an extreme expression of engineering, speed and uncompromising ambition.

T HENRI grew from Tyler Henri’s interest in meticulously made objects. Hypercars, yachts and aviation provided his starting points, with the intention of bringing a similar attention to construction, proportion and detail into eyewear.
After wearing and studying frames by independent brands, Tyler travelled to Sabae, Japan, to explore small-scale eyewear manufacturing. There he began a three-year development process, overseeing the creative direction and production of his first collection: the Monaco series.
Small production runs became central to T HENRI’s identity. Each model and colour has a defined edition size, giving a sense of the scale of its production and the work dedicated to the design. The connection with automotive design remains in the references, while each frame takes shape through materials and processes selected for that particular creation.
