About this frame
AKONI Atlas Brushed Silver. Atlas is a broad single-rim navigator with nods to the 1980s. The slim brow bar echoes the knurled tubular temples; brushed silver with black enamel and crystal grey tips.
AKONI was founded in Lugano by Rosario Toscano, formerly at the helm of DITA.
Handmade in Japan in Japanese titanium, with ceramic nose pads on beta-titanium pad arms. The frame comes with clear demo lenses and is ready to be fitted with prescription lenses. Aluminium case, leather pouch and cleaning cloth included.
The Akoni approach
In Akoni frames, the details of the temples, hinges and bridge recall watches and writing instruments. Materials, craftsmanship and technical solutions give shape to these references, which reveal themselves when you look at the frame up close.
Measurements and fit
Compare the lens width, bridge and temple length with a frame that fits you well. Lens width is the width of a single lens, not the total width of the frame. Similar measurements can sit differently on the face.
