About this frame

AKONI Eclipse Crystal Dark Grey. Eclipse pairs a titanium structure with acetate side shields and bridge details. The interplay of materials builds depth into the front and recalls the overlap of an eclipse.

AKONI was founded in Lugano by Rosario Toscano, formerly at the helm of DITA.

Handmade in Japan in acetate and titanium. Sun lenses with UV protection. Whether prescription lenses can be fitted depends on the prescription and the frame. Case and cleaning cloth included.

The Akoni approach

In Akoni frames, the details of the temples, hinges and bridge recall watches and writing instruments. These references only reveal themselves up close, in the way each detail is worked.

Model code: AKS-513D-49.

Measurements and fit

Compare the lens width, bridge and temple length with a frame that fits you well. Lens width is the width of a single lens, not the total width of the frame. Similar measurements can sit differently on the face.

See our glasses size guide or ask OCCHIO for advice.

AKONI looks to objects that gain meaning through use and are kept over time: watches, writing instruments and pieces passed from one generation to the next. They provide a reference for construction and for details that reveal themselves on closer inspection.

The frames translate these influences into individual components, material choices and finishes. Behind their restrained appearance is a combination of craftsmanship and manufacturing technology. AKONI’s identity lies as much in the way a frame is made as in its overall shape.

A frame is best understood when you try it on.

In the boutique, we look at proportions, how the frame rests on your nose and the length of the temples. Trying it on helps you see how it suits your face and lets us adjust it with care.

As a SEIKO Vision Specialist, we start with your prescription and daily habits to discuss lenses, centration and fitting. We explain the options and prepare a personalised quote before proceeding.
