About this frame

Valour is a square frame by T HENRI with a bold presence: retro and modern lines at once, soft surfaces and sharp edges, with a nod to British heritage. The Petra colourway has a tortoiseshell acetate frame. In the T HENRI catalogue it was born as a sunglass: at OCCHIO! you can also find it as an optical frame, ready for your prescription lenses. Handmade in Japan, in a numbered series of 199 pieces per colour.

Materials and construction

  • Japanese block cellulose acetate, made by extrusion from cotton, with complex colouring.
  • Two-tone enamelled decorations on the front.
  • Chunky temples laminated in clear crystal, revealing the piston core.
  • German-engineered 7-barrel hinge, with titanium plates and octagonal rivets.
  • Hypoallergenic nose pads, micro-dot anti-slip grip and serial number on every piece.

Size

  • Lens width: 56 mm.
  • Bridge: 18 mm.
  • Temples: 149 mm.

Explore more T HENRI eyewear or read the brand's story in the Journal: Hypercars, in a pair of glasses.

T HENRI grew from Tyler Henri’s interest in meticulously made objects. Hypercars, yachts and aviation provided his starting points, with the intention of bringing a similar attention to construction, proportion and detail into eyewear.

After wearing and studying frames by independent brands, Tyler travelled to Sabae, Japan, to explore small-scale eyewear manufacturing. There he began a three-year development process, overseeing the creative direction and production of his first collection: the Monaco series.

Small production runs became central to T HENRI’s identity. Each model and colour has a defined edition size, giving a sense of the scale of its production and the work dedicated to the design. The connection with automotive design remains in the references, while each frame takes shape through materials and processes selected for that particular creation.

A frame is best understood when you try it on.

In the boutique, we look at proportions, how the frame rests on your nose and the length of the temples. Trying it on helps you see how it suits your face and lets us adjust it with care.

As a SEIKO Vision Specialist, we start with your prescription and daily habits to discuss lenses, centration and fitting. We explain the options and prepare a personalised quote before proceeding.
