Collection: Eyewear Trends 2026

The 2026 eyewear trends as OCCHIO! sees them: not what the runways say, but what independent designers actually put into production this year and what arrived in the boutique. Twenty-four frames, optical and sun, in six directions. Every piece is available now, almost always as a single example.

1. Thick, oversize acetate

Shapes grow and rims thicken: Kuboraum L12, 61 mm lens in high-density acetate, Kuboraum K30 in Fire Havana, Cubitts Panton XXL, Lesca Ogre XL.

2. Vintage, remade as it was

Not used frames: archives reproduced with today's craft. TVR 504X, the James Dean shape in 8 mm acetate with a titanium rim; Julius Tart AR in Tokyo Tortoise; Eyevan Orbit.

3. Thin titanium, a few grams

At the other end, frames you barely see: Eyevan 7285 1025, KameManNen 1232, AKONI Proteus in brushed 12K gold, Leisure Society Verlaine in 18K gold, AHLEM Paris 01 in ruthenium.

4. Solid colour and crystal

Black stays, but coloured acetate is back on the face: VAVA WL0032 Crystal Blue, CHIMI Code Burgundy, AHLEM Prairie Burgundy, Paloceras Pebble Crystal Amber, Kuboraum Y3 Liquid Sky in translucent lilac.

5. Sculptural sunglasses

Sunglasses as an object before a filter: Kuboraum P31, T HENRI Mulliner and Diablo in 199 numbered pieces, Andrivet The Duke, 3D printed.

6. The classic, with a detail that gives it away

Shapes you know, constructions you don't: Sestini Carlo III, number 9 of 150; Mr. Gentleman Lady in matte tortoise and silver; Peter and May Romeo.

To find your way among shapes, read the guide to frame measurements. The brands, one by one, are in the niche eyewear brands.
