AKONI

Akoni is a Swiss brand founded in 2020: the AKN group was set up in Lugano in 2019 and put its first collection into production the following year. Its co-founder and managing director is Rosario Toscano. The design is Swiss; the frames are made by hand in Japan, in titanium and Japanese cellulose acetate.

About AKONI

From a watch to a frame

The references are watchmaking and writing instruments: exposed hinges, engraved temples, ceramic nose pads, brushed or polished finishes that change in the light. The models are named after stars and moons — Calisto, Juno, Europa, Telesto. In the Horn Series, Crafted Cosmo is carved from water buffalo horn: thirty hours of work for each front.
